Teresa Bortoluzzi

Leisure Travel Consultant
Marlin Travel (Winnipeg)

Teresa Bortoluzzi is a travel consultant at Marlin Travel. The minute Teresa picks up the phone, you can’t help but feel comfortable. She is at once calm, enthusiastic and positive.

Teresa began working at Transat in 2009 and has already secured her first wedding group, which has close to 70 passengers – one of the largest groups booked in the history of her office.

Teresa studied to become a travel consultant at Robertson College in Winnipeg. She always knew she wanted to work in the travel industry. “Geography has always been one of my assets,” she says. “Even if I’m not at work, I love talking about it.”

She also likes to help people. “I’ve always wanted to travel to Africa and do volunteer work,” she said. When it comes to her personal travel aspirations, “I would love to go to exotic places like Egypt and Asia. They’re on my bucket list.’’

Teresa says she has the ideal work environment. “It’s like my second family, and I’m the little sister. I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.”

What makes her job so enjoyable – besides her co-workers – is the fact that it changes every day, and she has the opportunity to talk travel with people. “I’m a social butterfly. I LOVE talking to people,” she enthuses.

On a more personal level, Teresa’s hobbies include reading (she once read 10 books in one weekend!), walking, catching up on world issues and geography and, of course, “enjoying life.”
