Sustainable tourims, a priority for Transat

Sustainable tourism entails respect for nature, as well as for host communities and their values; it combines positive socio-economic benefits for local populations with an enriching experience for travellers. Transat is firmly committed to the responsible development of the tourism industry.

Taking action at travel destinations

As an international tour operator, our social responsibility is not limited to the eight countries in which we conduct our business; it also extends to our 60 destination countries, mainly by sustainable tourism, humanitarian aid and awareness programs for our tourism service providers.

Transat and the environment

The environment is one of the pillars of sustainable tourism. Our policy involves reducing undesirable environmental impacts of tourism resulting from our activities or those of our partners and customers, and safeguarding the resources and biodiversity.

Travelling responsibly

Travelling responsibly means having an open-minded and respectful attitude toward host communities; realizing that resources are scarce and precious to local populations; making concrete gestures to promote local development… In short, travelling responsibly means making sure your stay brings maximum benefits to you and your host community, and has minimal negative impacts.

Philanthropy

Transat supports a number of philanthropic or humanitarian causes, often with the enthusiastic backing of its personnel.
