Installments enabled by Visa : monthly payment solution

Thanks to Installments Enabled by Visa, you can now pay for your purchase in fixed, equal payments over a defined period. Installments Enabled by Visa are offered by participating merchants and card issuers to eligible cardholders of various credit cards (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express). You will pay with your available credit limit on your existing credit card account.

Frequently asked questions

  • Your eligibility for an installment plan is determined by your card issuing bank. When booking your trip, select "Monthly payments" as your payment method. If your credit card is eligible, you will be offered several plans. You can then choose your plan from the available options and accept the terms and conditions. Please contact your issuing bank regarding eligibility to Installments Enabled by Visa.

  • No credit check is required, because making a purchase with Installments Enabled by Visa does not create an additional line of credit or increase your existing credit. Any installment options offered at checkout are provided by your card issuing bank, using your existing credit limit on your eligible card.

  • Yes. Your total purchase amount will be deducted from your available credit limit on your existing credit card account. For further details about this, please check with your card issuing bank and review your cardholder agreement.

    • Select "Monthly Payments" as your payment method when you book your trip.
    • Click on the Installments Enabled by Visa button.
    • Fill up the form (name, address, credit card number) to check your eligibility.
    • Select the monthly payment plan that suits you best.
    • Once the transaction has been completed, Transat will send you a confirmation email indicating that the booking has been completed. This e-mail will also contain the total amount paid.
    • It will then be your responsibility to make the monthly payments according to the purchase date, until the loan is repaid in full.
  • For the moment, only packages without insurance or ancillary products (Seat Selection, Option Plus, additional baggage or meal selection) are eligible. If your booking includes one of these products, you will have to choose another method of payment. However, Option Flex and excursions are eligible.

  • For questions regarding your installment plan, contact your card issuing bank.

  • The modification or cancellation of your booking paid by Installments Enabled by Visa is subject to Transat's Terms and Conditions.

    If a refund is applicable, such as in the case of a modification or cancellation initiated by you or Transat, only the price of the Transat product will be eligible for a total and partial refund according to applicable terms and conditions. Transat is not responsible for any fees or interest you may have paid to your financial institution on Installments Enabled by Visa, as this program is offered by participating financial institutions and not by Transat.
