Day 2: Porto by night
Duration: 1Hr/1:30Hrs - Departure: 9:30PM - Return to the Boat: 10:30PM/11PM

A unique opportunity to admire the city of Porto by night during a panoramic tour by bus. You will love the old, conserved districts of this city of immense character, classed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. During the tour of the historic center, your guide will schedule a stop at the Sao Bento railway station to look at its magnificent azulejos.

DAY 3: Guided tour of Porto and wine tasting
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 2AM - Return to the Boat: 6PM

During a guided tour of the city you will discover the Stock Exchange Building and the Sao Francisco Church. Visit of a wine cellar with a Porto wine tasting in the Vila Nova de Gaia, a town situated on the left bank of the Douro.

DAY 4: Guimarães
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 2PM - Return to the Boat: 6PM

We’ll leave by coach from Porto for Guimarães. With our guide, we'll begin the tour of this university town on foot to discover its historical treasures. Its medieval heart is a labyrinth of lanes and picturesque plazas framed by 14th-century edifices. We’ll continue on to the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, a medieval estate and former residence of the first Dukes of Braganza. The palace is closed on May 1 and Easter Day. At the end of our visit, we'll return on board in Porto.

DAY 5: Vila Real and Casa de Mateus
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 8:30AM - Return to the Boat: 12:30PM

You will set out for Vila Real by coach, a pleasant little town set among the vineyards. You will tour this town and continue towards Mateus, a small town famous for the manor of the Counts of Vila Real than for the rosé wine produced on the property. You will visit the Manor Solar of Mateus and also have the opportunity to have a walk in its gardens.

DAY 6: Guided tour in Salamanca
Duration: 10/11Hrs - Departure: 7AM - Return to the Boat: 5/6PM

Departure by coach towards Salamanca. Since 1988, the old city of Salamanca is classed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Guided tour of the town : discover the ancient and the new cathedral and one of the older university of the world opened in 1218. Lunch in Salamanca. Free afternoon.

DAY 7: Wines trail of Porto
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 8:30AM - Return to the Boat: 12:30PM

Departure by coach towards San Salvador do Mundo and Sao Joao da Pesqueira, two small towns set among the vineyards in the Rio Torto valley. In Sao Joao da Pesqueira, you will have the opportunity to explore the arcaded main square, the chapel and the white houses with their balconies. You will visit a quinta (wine cellar) to taste the famous Porto.

Be aware if you have travel sickness, roads are sinuous.

DAY 8: LAMEGO
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 8:30 - Return to the Boat: 12:30PM

You will leave Regua by coach for a guided tour of Lamego by coach and on foot. During this excursion, you will discover the Nossa Senhora dos Remedios sanctuary and the cathedral.

Please dress appropriately to visit the sanctuary.
The access of the sanctuary needs to climb up 700 steps.
