DAY 3: Martainville Castle
Duration: 5Hrs - Departure: 1PM - Return to the Boat: 6PM

Departure by coach with your courier. We will pass through Le Petit Andelys and by the St Sauveur church (XVIth century church which still has an organ from the period). After 40 minutes' travelling through different villages along the Andelle (river running through the valley), we arrive at Château de Martainville. This château was built at the end of the XVth century by Jacques Le Pelletier, and bought by the State in 1906, then turned into a museum in 1961. In 2 hours, learn about 500 years of rural Normandy history. Travel to the heart of Norman traditions (work costumes, headdresses, jewellery, cloths…), relive the past thanks to the objects from everyday life (copper pans, pottery, baskets...). Discover the largest collection of Upper Normandy furniture, the "FAMOUS NORMAN ARMOIRES". Transfer back to Rouen at the beginning of the evening.

The visit of the castle is done freely.

DAY 4: Honfleur and Pont l’Evêque
Duration: 4Hrs - Departure: 8AM - Return to the Boat: 12AM

Departure by coach for Pont l’Evêque, a charming Norman city. We’ll take a guided tour and see such sites as the gardens of the former Dominican convent, the 15th-century Church of Saint Michel, and of course, all the half-timbered facades that dot the city. We'll finish our tour with a tasting of the small, square-shaped cheese that has carried the town's name since the 12th century. We’ll then return to Honfleur for a guided tour on foot. We’ll begin our tour at the Vieux Bassin, one of the most charming sites in the city. Next, we’ll see Saint Catherine’s Church, the largest wooden church in France. It was listed as a historical monument in 1879 and has been the subject of scrupulous research by many archaeologists and historians. We'll then head for the original 17th-century Salt Halls (Greniers à Sel), now used for exhibitions, conferences and concerts. Our tour will finish with a visit to Saint Léonard Church. Destroyed during the Hundred Years’ War, it was rebuilt at the end of the 15th and beginning of the 16th centuries only to be partially burned down again during the Wars of Religion. We’ll return to our ship on foot.

In case the boat could not moor in Honfleur because of navigation technical reasons, this excursion should be done by coach. Extra fee to pay on board : 10€.

DAY 4: The Albaster coast
Duration: 4:30Hrs - Departure: 2PM - Return to the Boat: 6:30PM

Leave Honfleur by coach for the excursion to the Alabaster Coast, classified as a Natura 2000 site since 2009. This trip will be your chance to discover the natural heritage of the Pays de Caux and the Seine estuary. Pass by the high cliffs of white chalk and stone beaches popularised by the paintings of Claude Monet, the suspended valleys of the little coastal rivers, the Normandy bridge, Etretat and Fécamp, sights not to be missed bordering a coast that you will see in a fresh light after this trip. Marvel at the beauty of the Alabaster Coast and the diversity of its plant and animal life. First stop at Etretat. Once a fishing village, Etretat transformed itself into a seaside resort in the XIX century and became a place of inspiration for artists (Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin and Claude Monet), writers (Gustave Flaubert and Guy de Maupassant, Maurice Leblanc) and famous people (J. Michelet, F. Faure, the Queens of Spain, J. Bonaparte...). Etretat was the holiday spot of numerous famous opera composers and singers of the XIX century who had villas there or stayed there regularly in a comic-opera decor. The town has several remarkable chateaus, manor houses and villas, such as the Manoir de la Salamandre (a house admired by tourists and located in the main street near the hall), The Clos Lupin and the Château des Aygues which were the seaside residences of the Spanish queens Marie-Christine et Isabelle II. Continue by coach to Fécamp. Be charmed by this town labelled “Town and country of art and history” and known for its Benedictine liqueur. The history of Fécamp mainly rests on that of its port founded around the XI century, with the intention of promoting naval construction and fishing. From the XIX century to the middle of the XX century, Fécamp has significant cod fishing activity and momentarily surpassed Saint-Malo as the major French cod fishing port. Nowadays, pleasure boating has taken over from fishing. The abbey church of Sainte-Trinité, the palace of the dukes of Normandy and the rich collections of the museum of Terre Neuvas are witnesses to its prestigious history. Return by coach to Honfleur.

DAY 5: Guided walking tour of Rouen
Duration: 2Hrs - Departure: 3PM - Return to the Boat: 5PM

You will leave the boat on foot with your guide and tour Rouen where you will discover, among other things, the cathedral, the historic districts and the Place du Vieux Marché.... (Important: the streets are paved!) Free time and return on board.

This excursion will occur in the morning or in the afternoon depending on schedules of Honfleur port.
