Day 1: Travel on the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, before driving to Mycenae to visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls and the Royal Tombs. Then, depart for Nafplio, a picturesque town nestled at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 2: Morning at leisure to explore on your own. Then leave for Epidaurus to visit the Theatre (4th century BC), famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by taking the national road connecting Epidaurus with Mycenae.
