Redeem your travel credit for a package online
NEW! If you received a travel credit for a cancelled Transat package, you could now redeem it online when booking a new package on transat.com thanks to our self-service feature.
How does it work?
Find your package on transat.com with our search engine.
When prompted for payment at step 3, choose "Use your travel credit" and enter your travel credit number in the field provided.
Your package travel credit number consists of 8 digits.
If your travel credit number is a 6-digit alphanumeric code, then that is a travel credit for a cancelled flight and, therefore, you can only redeem it online for a flight. If you would like to book a flight online with your travel credit, please go to airtransat.com. If you would still like to book a package with your travel credit, then you would need to call our Customer Contact Centre at 1-866-322-6649.
Your travel credit number can be found here on your electronic document.
The amount will automatically be applied to your new booking, and you will receive a confirmation when it’s done. You can then redeem another travel credit or complete your booking.
If the price of your new booking is lower than the amount of your travel credit, the remaining amount will be kept on file for future use. However, if the price of your new booking is higher than the amount of your travel credit, you will have to pay the difference.
Good to know when redeeming your travel credit online:
- A maximum of two travel credits can be applied when booking online. To redeem more, call our Contact Centre at 1-866-322-6649.
- A travel credit cannot be redeemed online for extra inflight services, such as seat selection, additional bags or Option Plus. You must use another method of payment if you want to purchase these services online. If you wish to pay for them by travel credit, you must call our Contact Centre at 1-866-322-6649.
- You cannot redeem a travel credit for insurance, whether on our website or via our Contact Centre.
