Transat: Lucie Chabot named to the Board of Directors

MONTREAL, Oct. 26, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Jean-Marc Eustache, Chairman of the Board and President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., is pleased to announce the arrival of Lucie Chabot, CPA, CA as a member of the company's Board of Directors.

"Ms. Chabot has a strong background in financial and operational management, particularly in the distribution and retail sales fields, and she will certainly make a valuable contribution," said Mr. Eustache.

Ms. Chabot is Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of SAIL Outdoors Inc., a major outdoors equipment retailer, and as such is responsible for the firm's accounting and financial services, human resources and information technologies. She served previously as President of Distribution Vinearius Inc., a wine accessories distributor she founded. She also worked for InterTrade Systems Inc. as General Manager, Operations and Managed Services, after having served as the company's Vice-President, Finance and Human Resources. She also held the position of Vice-President, Finance, at Sports Experts Inc. Ms. Chabot is a graduate of Université Laval and a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.

In 2015, Transat adopted a diversity policy aimed at attaining and maintaining a Board of Directors and senior executive team that emphasizes gender diversity and targets a Board comprising a minimum of 25% of women. The company achieves this objective with the appointment of Ms. Chabot as a Director.
