Transat and Aéroports de Montréal unveil Espace Air Transat

Montreal, November 23, 2016 – Transat is proud to present Espace Air Transat, a new section designed to reflect the airline’s image, located in the Montréal–Trudeau international airport terminal that opened last May. The product of an innovative partnership, Espace Air Transat welcomes travellers in a lively atmosphere brightened up by the joy of vacations.

“Given that close to a million Air Transat passengers will pass through the Montréal–Trudeau airport in 2017, this unique business partnership with Aéroports de Montréal was a natural move for us, and we are very happy about it,” states Annick Guérard, President and General Manager of Transat Tours Canada. “Espace Air Transat delivers unparalleled visibility to our company while improving the experience of travellers with perks designed to enhance their time in the terminal.”

Espace Air Transat is part of Aéroports de Montréal’s major revitalization of Montréal–Trudeau. For Transat, it’s a strategic investment, ensuring that the Air Transat brand stands out throughout the terminal. This is achieved with the help of inspiring images, which can be seen from the multi-level parking lot near the international and transborder areas. Transat thus reinforces its positioning and role as a leader in leisure travel. Air Transat’s South and transatlantic flights will depart from this new terminal where Espace Air Transat is located.

“This partnership with Air Transat is a first for Montréal–Trudeau and we are very proud,” says Charles Gratton, Vice-President of Real Estate and Commercial Services at Aéroports de Montréal. “We have no doubt that our passengers will love Espace Air Transat, kicking off their holiday in a unique way.”

The preferred travel companion of Canadians, Air Transat will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017. The company was voted Best North American Leisure Airline at the Skytrax annual World Airline Awards in July 2016, in addition to placing third among the top customer-oriented airlines, according to a recent survey carried out by Protégez-Vous among Quebec consumers. For a sixth consecutive year in 2016, Air Transat also ranked first in North America and among the top 20 worldwide in the atmosfair Airline Index for its fuel management performance and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
