Louise St-Pierre joins Transat's Board of Directors

MONTREAL, Oct. 26, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Jean-Marc Eustache, Chair of the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., announces the appointment, effective immediately, of Louise St-Pierre as an independent director of the Company.

"Ms. St-Pierre has gained a solid reputation in the business world and extensive experience in the senior management of a major telecommunications firm," Mr. Eustache said. "She will provide her enlightened perspective. We are pleased and proud to welcome her to Transat's Board."

Ms. St-Pierre had a successful career in the information technologies industry, first with IBM Canada, then with DMR, before she was recruited by Cogeco Communications Inc., where she was a vice-president in a number of sectors. In 2013, she was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Cable Canada (now Cogeco Connexion), serving in that position until she left in 2016. Her professional career led her to be named a Top 100 Award Winner on the "Canada's Most Powerful Women" list of the Women's Executive NetworkTM (WXN) in both 2015 and 2016.

In 2017, Ms. St-Pierre was named Chair of the Board of Directors of Domaine Forget, where she had been a director since 2012, and she also sits on the Board of CAA-Quebec. She is Class Patron of the 2018 cohort of the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program and an investor member of Anges Québec, which contributes to the launch and growth of businesses in a variety of sectors.
