Air Transat thanks its flight attendants

Montreal, May 31, 2018 — On this International Flight Attendant Day, Air Transat is pleased to acknowledge the importance of these frontline employees and to highlight the excellence of the company’s approximately 2,000 flight attendants and flight directors.

“Being a flight attendant means not only seeing to customers’ comfort and establishing a special and reassuring contact with them, it’s first and foremost about ensuring their safety,” explains Air Transat President Jean-François Lemay. “I feel very strongly about emphasizing that flight attendants are safety professionals, trained to react in any situation, normal or otherwise. And so on this very special day, I want to recognize their valuable contribution to the Air Transat inflight experience and to thank them for accompanying our passengers as they start or end their holidays.”

The love of travel is in Air Transat employees’ DNA

Air Transat, Canada’s leader in holiday travel, has been highlighting the expertise of its employees, including its flight attendants, in its latest advertising campaigns. These are people who are passionate about travel and love sharing their favourite destinations and discoveries with their customers.

In an effort to maximize the visibility of its brand promise—to brighten the everyday with the joy of vacations—Air Transat has developed some very special videos in which selected employees share their passion and expertise for specific destinations. This past winter, three employees, including two flight attendants, talked about their preferred Sun destinations. More recently, two “vacation enthusiasts”, one of whom is a flight attendant, take viewers to their favourite spots in London and Lisbon. Emmanuel, a Sales and Customer Service Supervisor, introduces viewers to the heart of the British capital, and Marie-Eve, a flight attendant, guides the curious through the streets of Portugal’s capital city.
