Transat honoured like never before at Gala Uni-Vers

Montreal, October 25, 2019 — Transat won top honours at the seventh Gala des Trophées Uni-Vers, held October 23 at Montreal’s Théâtre Paradoxe. Industry professionals voted Transat Tour Operator of the Year while consumers chose Air Transat as Airline of the Year. In addition to these two major awards, Gilbert Légaré of Transat was named Representative of the Year in the Tour Operator category.

Travel professionals, suppliers and media came together to celebrate the best and brightest in their industry  at this annual event organized by the Association des Agents de Voyages du Québec (AAVQ).

“The whole Transat team is very proud of these expressions of trust,” says Joseph Adamo, Chief Distribution Officer, Transat, and President, Transat Distribution Canada (TDC). “These honours are all the more important  because they come to us directly from industry players, partners we deal with daily who have contributed greatly to making Transat Canada’s holiday travel leader. I want to congratulate all Transat employees as well as our network’s agencies and consultants who were finalists and winners.”

In fact, several TDC network agencies and consultants were honoured during the evening. Among the winners:

  • Voyages Transat Chicoutimi, in the category Travel Agency (less than 10 consultants);
  • Club Voyages Repentigny, in the category Travel Agency (10 to 50 consultants);
