Cuba is famed for its crystal clear waters and splendid beaches such as Varadero. But break away from the tourist areas and you'll find uncrowded places that are just as breathtaking. Cayo Coco, in Cuba, is an island that had remained undeveloped for tourism until the 1990s. Resorts and hotels here are modern, and nearby Cayo Guillermo’s beaches are considered among the most beautiful in the world thanks to their fine white sand. What’s more, getting from the airport to your hotel generally takes no longer than a half an hour.

Discover Cayo Coco

Water Sports
Catamarans, jet skiing, scuba diving, sea kayaking, waterskiing—water sports abound in Cayo Coco. Don’t forget to reserve a tennis court if you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground.
Cayo Coco's Beach

Developed for tourism only within the last twenty years or so, Cayo Coco is one of Cuba’s unspoiled jewels. The white sand of its immaculate beaches is fine and appreciated by everyone who has the chance to come and relax here.

After having taken advantage of the sun’s warm caress, dive into the clear waters that lap the shore. Swim in the calm sea and check out the marine life.

Partying

Get yourself on your hotel’s dance floor and sway your hips to the sounds of Cuban salsa. When you’ve broken a good sweat, refresh yourself with some rum, a local specialty. Order a mojito if you want to taste a classic Cuban cocktail made with mint and lime juice.

Cuba is the ideal place for partying to lively music until the wee hours of the morning and waking up to sip your coffee on a spectacular beach.

Cayo Coco Your Way

Couples

Take a trip for two following in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway, or Papa, as the locals call him. You can also try your hands at deep-sea fishing and live the excitement of feeling a big one at the end of your line. In the evening, enjoy a romantic dinner in one of your resort complex’s restaurants or organize one on the beach with the help of a hotel concierge. Tantalize your taste buds by ordering the grilled lobster!
Family playgrounds

Cayo Coco is a paradise for families. The sea is calm and the clear water makes exploring the area’s colourful fish and coral easy. Interested in visiting a crocodile farm? Just imagine, you can even pick one up and take photos to prove your bravery! Little ones are sure to be impressed by the experience.
Travelling with friends

Curious types like getting to know the nature all over the island, 80% of which is still wild. The largest population of pink flamingos can be found here, along with 200 other bird species—ornithologists take note! Cayo Coco is the perfect place to be amongst friends, since everyone wins here whether they’re sporty, active, curious, adventurous or those who just feel like relaxing by the sea.
