An overwhelmingly successful event!

Some 300 consultants and managers from Marlin Travel, TravelPlus and MTP Lite Travel agencies attended the “Strut your Stuff” 2010 Ontario and Atlantic Canada Regional Conference on September 18 & 19, 2010 in Toronto. The event was a huge success.
“We have a fabulous team of franchisees, affiliates and company-owned offices that gives our customers great service in large cities and regional centres alike,” said Yves Lalumière, Vice-President and General Manager of Transat Distribution Canada (TDC). Throughout the weekend, we helped them find the wow on the brand-equity, the importance of professional fees and went through the different approaches of the life-cycle of client acquisition and retention. “I am proud to see the team spirit that motivates us, along with the passion and determination we show when the time comes to help travellers plan and set off on their dream holidays. None of our competitors can say the same.”
Members of the Transat A.T. Inc. and Transat Tours Canada executive teams where present at the Conference. Jean-Marc Eustache, co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat A.T. Inc., delivered a keynote address on Sunday, September 19. Other executive speakers included Yves Lalumière, Vice-President and General Manager, Transat Distribution Canada, who presented a network and industry overview. Also, Michael DiLollo, President of Transat Tours Canada, shared his views on the power of the partnership between TDC and Transat Holidays and Nolitours. A special open-floor Town Hall meeting was attended by Vice-President National Sales & Commercial, Denise Heffron and members of her team from Nolitours & Transat Holidays in the Ontario and Atlantic Canada regions. In addition, from Transat, Michel Lemay, Vice-President, Communications and Corporate Affairs highlighted the company’s commitment toward sustainability in tourism.
In total three annual conferences of TDC travel agency consultants and managers took place across Canada: August 28 and 29 in Montreal, September 11 and 12 in Vancouver and September 18 and 19 in Toronto.
