Transat Distribution Canada has just returned from the 3rd Annual Cruise Academy as part of an ongoing commitment to the highest standard of training and education for its network of travel professionals.
23 preferred partners joined 100+ TDC travel professionals and TDC staff on board the magnificent Oasis of the Seas for a week of cruise training in combination with onboard and port activities. Training sessions were offered in both French and English at either a beginner or advanced level to ensure the maximum benefit to both participants and supplier partners.
“The Cruise Academy has now evolved into one of the highlights of the TDC training calendar for both beginner and advanced cruise sales specialists. Always high in demand, this year’s event filled immediately and we already have a waiting list for next year” commented Susan Bowman, VP Marketing and Industry Relations.

As part of the TDC commitment to this program, individual cruise sales are tracked following the Cruise Academy. Cruise sales by travel professionals who attended last year’s Cruise Academy increased by 26.4% as compared to the TDC national averages of 13% sales growth.
