Transat’s Europe: A Redesigned Offer for 2012

Transat, one of the largest integrated tourism companies in the world and Canada’s holiday travel leader, is proud to launch its redesigned 2012-2013 Europe season showcasing 34 destinations, 20 of which are available from Quebec. The 2012-2013 Europe Collection brochure is now available and offers an irresistible array of vacation packages and à la carte options in Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The product line has been redesigned to meet the needs of today’s many different types of travellers. As of April 2012, Air Transat’s cabins will also begin to sport a brand new look.

The addition of a sixth weekly flight to Rome from Montreal makes it easier than ever to travel to Italy. Transat Holidays’ new vacation options include a one-week package in Castelli Romani. Also new to the Italy program is the introduction of Slow Food vacation packages in Tuscany, Sicily and Venice. Part of the latest trend in European travel, these packages include roundtrip flight, 7 nights’ accommodation, car rental, selected meals and excursions. They are the perfect way to experience Venice, Sicilyand Tuscany’s rich culture and superb gastronomy.

Transat Holidays brings back its City Hopping packages in Corsica. Travellers can fly directly to Marseille from Montreal or Quebec City, before transferring by plane to Ajaccio or Figari, according to their selected package, for their stay on this captivating island. With several new packages in the Loire Valley, Burgundy, Midi, Provence, the French Riviera and the Atlantic Coast, travellers will be able to discover France’s most beautiful and charming regions.

Portugal is always an excellent choice for affordable vacations. Transat Holidays has added more travel options to its program in Lisbon, the Algarve and the Douro Valley.

As of April 2012, Air Transat will feature a completely remodelled cabin, new colours and a new livery, all designed with eco-friendly materials. The new lighting system will bathe the cabin in the appropriate lighting, from subdued to daylight, and new individual touch screens will provide the traveller with a vast array of entertainment options. In Economy Class, new ergonomic German-engineered seats offer total comfort and relaxation.
