11th October, 2016: Air Transat, Ireland’s leading leisure airline to Canada, has added an additional weekly frequency to Toronto (increased from 2 to 3) and increased its capacity and range of connections from Ireland to Canada for travel in 2017.
The airline, which next year celebrates 30 years of flying, will operate direct services three times a week from Dublin to Toronto, and once weekly to Montreal, from May to October.
For 2017, the airline is increasing capacity with an additional weekly flight from Dublin to Toronto and Montreal, plus greater use of its state of the art Airbus A330 aircraft which can carry more passengers and offers more amenities including individual touch screens with over a hundred channels of entertainment on demand.
Thanks to Air Transat’s expanding connecting flights programme, there is further increased choice and convenience for travel from Dublin next summer, with Irish travellers easily able to reach more top destinations across Canada.
These include three additional weekly connecting services from Dublin to Montreal via Toronto, and one extra weekly service to Toronto via Montreal, building on the existing direct flights.
In addition to this, Irish travellers can discover more of Canada with a weekly connecting service from Quebec City via Montreal to Dublin, four weekly flights to Vancouver via Toronto or Montreal, and a twice weekly service Calgary via Toronto.
Commenting on the 2017 programme, Lesley Kane, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Air Transat, said: “Canada is an increasingly popular destination for summer holidays and we’re enhancing our flight programme from Ireland to reflect this.”
“Our customers are looking to travel when they want with the utmost convenience and to incorporate multiple destinations into their holiday experience. Our 2017 programme from Dublin caters for that demand with more choice and flexibility of travel.”
